Academics
Cristo Rey St. Martin College Prep provides a rigorous 10-month college preparatory curriculum and our students are invested in learning and experiencing what it takes to be admitted to and graduate from a four-year college or university.
The faculty consists of 26 teachers, two school counselors, two college counselors, two alumni directors, and three resource teachers. 66% of the teachers hold Master’s degrees. The student to faculty ratio is 15:1. In addition there are 74 full and part-time staff members and Corporate Work Study program drivers.
We strive to give each student both the challenge and the support to succeed in pursuit of their education and work to integrate the lessons they learn on their Corporate Work Study Program jobs and in the classroom. About 25% of CRSM students participate in the Schuler Scholar Program, College Bound Opportunities and/or the Waukegan to College program. These programs prepare high potential, low-income students to succeed in college through academic support, mentorship and college scholarship awards.
