Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program


The Illinois Tax Credit Scholarship Program provides low-income families with direct high school tuition relief and provides much needed financial support to fund the cost of a rigorous college prep education and our work study program.

Who qualifies for these scholarships?

  • All CRSM families qualify for the scholarships.
  • Average Annual Family Income: $37,051
  • Average Family Size: 4.7
  • Scholarship-Eligible Students: 100%

As a donor, what is the process?

Here are the 4 steps for you to follow:

Request a “Letter ID” via MyTax Illinois website.

  • Your Letter ID will be mailed to the address on your last year’s tax return. You should receive it within 7–10 business days.

When you receive your “Letter ID” via US Mail, go back to MyTax Illinois website,, and set up an Account.

Now that you have an Account, reserve your IL Tax Credit Scholarship credits on Be sure to designate Region 2 and Cristo Rey St. Martin College
